STEP Tech Park is the first green-tech Innovation Hub in Italy that has the goal of removing 5 million tons of CO2eq from the atmosphere.  STEP has launched its second Call 4 startups: STEP Call 4 future 2021.

The call is online in the following section and it will be opened until November 15th.

It is addressed to all start-ups, entrepreneurs and tech pioneers with disruptive solutions against climate change, capable of reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

The entrepreneurial projects selected after the Selection Days at the beginning of December, will have access to a Six-months acceleration programme worth 60k Euros, starting from January 2021 and to 1 million Euros in total as interest-free bank credit.

The Journey

The goal proposed by STEP Tech Park to start-ups is very pragmatic: drastically shortening the time-to-market of their technological solutions.

To help them to achieve this goal, the STEP Call 4 Future 2021 is offering an entire team of professionals fully dedicated to the start-ups, more than 50 mentors from the world of finance, academia and industry ready to share their know-how and connections; more than 20 investors including VCs, Business Angels and Foundations capable to provide extra-funding for projects that need to scale-up and more than 30 industrial companies, from different fields, ready to become the first start-up clients.

Shaping the future

STEP Call 4 Future 2021 is open to capable, committed and tenacious teams with a disruptive and validated idea to limit planetary boundaries and reducing emissions into the atmosphere.

A Minimum Viable Product and a patented technology will be privileged.

The sectors and clusters can be very different, from technology enabling energy transition, to a circular economy, from renewables and storage to agri-tech, from energy efficiency to sustainable fashion or tourism.

The context

STEP Call 4 Future 2021 is inspired by the passion for the environment and innovation of its founder Franco Jamoletti, with more than 25 years of industrial experience in the energy sector.

The desire was to create an open laboratory, where individuals, technologies and intuitions can meet and shape a greener and more sustainable future, for all of us and for the generations to come.

STEP is not only an accelerator but an entire ECOsystem of innovative startups, corporates, institutions, research lab, mentors and investors that is getting bigger every day. The ECOsystem members share the same environmental sensitivity: to fight climate change we must join forces and we must act now.
