Pi Campus opens in Rome the first artificial intelligence school
Marco Trombetti’s venture capital fund opened in Rome the Pi Campus, the first artificial intelligence school that brings together creativity and human creativity. The facility offers free courses thanks to some agreements with companies that will sponsor the work of students, making them work on real issues.

The courses that will take place in the “Pi 6” will be dedicated to young engineers and entrepreneurs interested in the encounter between technology and artificial intelligence with human creativity. The Pi School was founded at the beginning of the year and was inaugurated last September 15. The first course, devoted entirely to artificial intelligence – and for which 15 scholarships are available to cover the full cost – will begin on October 15th.
The course director will be Sébastien Bratières, AI expert, chatbot and data science and Ph.D. at Cambridge University on machine learning. Students who will take part in the course will have some theoretical lessons at the beginning, but much of the time will be devoted to practical work, following the “learning by doing” method.
The course will be free for students, thanks to the scholarships offered by the partners. The course advisor is Alex Waibel (director of the Language Technology Group of Facebook), Hassan Sawaf (AI Director of Amazon), and Marcello Federico (head of the Human Language Translation Unit of FBK).
