Europe’s largest Startup Demo Day will kick off on 25 August 2020 for the first time with over 500 start-ups and 250 investors: In addition to prominent venture capitalists such as the American Facebook investor ACCEL Partners, the German Peak Games investor Earlybirds and the early-stage investor Spark Capital (Twitter, Slack) are also on board.

For 21 selected start-ups this event will provide them with the unique opportunity to compete with their pitch deck in front of participating investors.

Remote START demo day

Whether seed, early or growth stage: The year 2020 has confronted startups around the globe with turbulent challenges. The Covid-19 crisis shook the entire investor republic – the capital and thus the confidence of the start-ups seemed to collapse at a stroke. Or perhaps not?

The initially planned offline startup event Berlin Demo Day 2020 was dropped because of the pandemic, but for the organizers of the European START Network, there was no reason to give up hope. Together they are putting the Startup Demo Day on its feet.

The organizers of the START Network are thus building virtual bridges between the most important investor circles from Europe and the USA and founders. The exclusive network opportunity is aimed at start-ups as well as business angels and venture capitalists.

In addition to numerous one-to-one meetings with investors and masterclasses with industry specialists, 21 start-ups will take to the stage with their pitch deck. The organizers of the START Demo Day are thus setting out on a mission to provide acquaintanceships between startups and top capital providers with assets in the three-digit million range.

I am looking forward to the START event because of the professional organization and the high quality of the start-ups. In 2019 we invested in Datarade, a team I got to know through START’s Berlin Demo Day 2019
