Techne Summit has been an excellent platform for Sweden for promoting entrepreneurship and innovation in Egypt. We have been a part of the Techne family for five years now, and it is a pleasure to see how this summit keeps getting bigger – and better.

Sweden is ranked as one of the most innovative countries globally and the most innovative in the EU, and I would argue that this is because we firmly believe in collaboration. Achieving a balanced and diversified economy is dependent on innovation and knowledge exchange. Sweden stands ready to cooperate with Egypt to make the best use of the talents and ideas in both countries.

More than 180 exhibitors will be showcasing at the summit this year. From startups at their early stage seeking seed funding from investors, and looking to build partnerships for growth, to multinational large companies showcasing their latest tech trends.

This year’s Investors’ BootCamp will host more networking opportunities than before, with an exclusive “Investors on Yacht” networking event on the Mediterranean Sea, aside from the annual exclusive content that is delivered through a variety of panel discussions, talks, and masterclasses. Concluding with the Launch of the Mediterranean Angel Academy, powered by GiZ and two Startup Pitch events from Alex Angels and Med Angels.

Attending big events always has its charms, but also has its challenge of not being able to meet the right people. But the Techne Summit App and platform utilize AI for networking activities; through a matchmaking engine that connects both on the ground and virtual attendees and creates hybrid meetings in real-time, every participant has the opportunity to connect and meet the right people that they need to.

Techne Summit is under the auspices of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology; the Information Technology Industry Development Authority (ITIDA); Egypt Post, Hivos, Roche, GIZ Egypt, GIZ International, Zoho, Inertia, Novartis, Egypt Ventures, EdVentures, Sanad Fund for SMEs, JTC, Digital Economy and Technology General Division (DETGD) of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC).
