Following the recent signing of the UK-Ukraine 100-Year Partnership Agreement, the Department for Business and Trade, the Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation, and London-based VC fund 1991 Ventures have announced the 20 Ukrainian startups selected for the second cohort of the UK-Ukraine TechBridge Investment Accelerator.

This initiative forms an integral part of the 100-Year Partnership Declaration, designed to facilitate mutual commercial interests, support innovation, and accelerate the development of globally competitive technologies.

Last year, the pilot programme featured 20 pre-seed and seed-stage Ukrainian startups, which collectively raised over €7 million in grants and investments within six months of their Demo Day.

For 2025, the focus shifted to Seed to Series A startups with proven market traction, clear investment needs ranging from €460K to €4.6M, and a strong potential to scale in the UK market.

The selected startups will benefit from direct access to the UK investment ecosystem and receive hands-on mentorship from leading UK-based VCs, with the ultimate goal of securing investment deals.

Gareth Thomas MP, Minister for Services, Small Business and Exports, said:

Initiatives like these are creating valuable partnerships and driving sustainable growth in Ukraine’s tech sector, ensuring it remains resilient and competitive on the global stage. I’m delighted the exceptional Ukrainian startups selected will benefit from the expertise of UK-based Venture Capital funds and access to the UK’s lucrative investment landscape.
