Sasha Komarevych: – Daniele, thanks for joining us today. Please tell us about AI Kosmo and how it all started.
Daniele Zomer: – Thank you for having me! AI Kosmo was born out of a simple yet profound observation: hotels needed help harnessing AI’s full potential to improve efficiency. My co-founder Giulio and I saw this gap and decided to create a platform that could democratise AI for hotels of all sizes.
We aim to help hotels become more competitive by streamlining their operations, saving time, and boosting conversions using AI.
Sasha: – What are the key problems AI Kosmo is solving for its clients?
Daniele: – Our platform addresses inefficiencies in hotel guest communications, often caused by repetitive tasks or fragmented workflows. Hotels lose daily hours dealing with guest communications and miss conversions due to answers not being given promptly.
AI Kosmo helps automate guest communications, allowing hotels to focus on more strategic, value-adding activities. We’ve already succeeded in automating customer support for multiple hotels of different sizes and types, such as family or business facilities. This allows hotel staff to redirect their efforts towards growth, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
Sasha: – You’ve spoken before about the importance of AI in the future of businesses. Can you expand on that?
Daniele: – Absolutely. AI is reshaping how businesses operate. Previously, only large companies with significant resources could afford to leverage AI at scale. But today, technological advancements make AI accessible to small and medium-sized enterprises, hotels included.
AI can optimise decision-making, predict market trends, and personalise customer interactions. In the next few years, businesses that don’t embrace AI will struggle to stay competitive.
Sasha: – AI Kosmo has grown significantly since its inception. How do you build and manage a successful team to support this growth?
Daniele: – Building the right team is crucial. At AI Kosmo, we are fortunate to have a group of highly skilled and motivated individuals who share a passion for innovation. I believe in creating a culture of trust and collaboration where every team member feels empowered to contribute their best ideas. It’s also essential to hire people who complement each other’s strengths.
For example, my co-founder has a deep technical background, while I focus more on the strategic and operational aspects. This balance is essential for driving the company forward.
Sasha: – What qualities do you look for when hiring new team members?
Daniele: – For me, the key qualities are grit, adaptability, and a passion for problem-solving. Technology is evolving so quickly that learning and adapting is critical. We look for people who aren’t afraid to take risks and constantly look for ways to improve themselves and the company.
Of course, technical skills are essential, but I value mindset just as much. The combination of skills and attitude makes someone a great fit for AI Kosmo.
Sasha: – It’s inspiring to hear how literature has influenced your approach. Where do you see AI Kosmo in the next five years as AI continues to evolve?
Daniele: – In five years, I see AI Kosmo at the forefront of hotel software solutions, continuing to innovate and scale. We want to expand our solution to cover a broader range of software specifically built for the hospitality industry.
Our mission remains the same — to help hotels operate more efficiently and intelligently, leveraging AI as a growth tool. I also believe that as AI becomes more integrated into daily business operations, we will see new opportunities for innovation.
Sasha: – Finally, what advice would you give to young entrepreneurs looking to start their tech ventures?
Daniele: – My advice is to stay curious, never stop learning, and take action. The tech world is constantly changing, and you have to be adaptable. Don’t be afraid to take risks, but make sure you’re always listening to your customers. They will tell you what they need, and your job is to figure out how to solve their problems better than anyone else. Lastly, surround yourself with people who challenge and help you grow personally and professionally.
