Applications for the sixth “Bocconi for Innovation Startup Call” are open until 26 June 2022
6.7 million euros have been raised so far by the accelerated and pre-accelerated startups of B4i – Bocconi for innovation and more than 200 entrepreneurs supported
An investment of 30 euros thousand and a four-month course with coaching and dedicated services are available to the startups selected for the acceleration program
From 9 May until 26 June 2022, in fact, it will be possible to apply for your startup or business idea to the acceleration and pre-acceleration programs of the sixth batch.
Now in its sixth Call, the pre-acceleration, acceleration and corporate innovation platform of Bocconi University in Milan, has so far supported 112 startups and more than 200 entrepreneurs, and intends to continue to offer the selected entrepreneurs a wide range of training sessions and resources for the development of their projects, facilitating opportunities to find customers and investors.
Acceleration and pre-acceleration programs: features and requirements
The startups selected by B4i for the acceleration program will receive an investment of 30 thousand euros each and will take part in a four-month course that includes access to a network of services (legal & tax clinics, digital marketing, 1-to-1 mentorship), the Bocconi University network and the community. In addition, at the end of the acceleration program, they will have the opportunity to meet angel investors and venture capital funds to finance the next phase of their business.
As a pre-accelerator, B4i – Bocconi for innovation offers a training program consisting of eleven sessions that aim to support aspiring entrepreneurs in developing their idea into a prototype (MVP, minimum viable product), planning a go-to-market strategy and validating their business.
The sixth Bocconi for Innovation Startup Call is open to all and the only requirement for participation is that the candidate teams are composed of a minimum of two adults. For the acceleration path, moreover, the startup must be established as a limited liability company (SRL or equivalent) before the start of the program – in September 2022 – and have some measurable indicators of market validation (active users, a pipeline of potential customers, any revenues, etc.).

Led by Chief Operating Officer Nico Valenti Gatto, B4i – Bocconi for innovation is structured in three areas: Digital Tech, Sustainability and Made in Italy, coordinated respectively by Massimo Della Ragione, Stefano Pogutz and Gabriella Lojacono. In addition, the platform counts on important institutional partners such as the Italian Institute of Technology of Genoa (IIT), the Politecnico di Milano, the University of Milan, the University of Milan-Bicocca and operational partners, including Kilometro Rosso, Invitalia, Le Wagon and Plug and Play.

Among the 32 startups that B4i has included in its program, also Mine Crime, a company that through data analysis and artificial intelligence is able to collect, geo-locate and systematize crime data.
